A little thread for my obstinate boy.

The mun is very much unlike the muse, pretty much a 180 or close, so he’s to be a real challenge. This kind of character more or less exists by the grace of other players because he’s not very social and it tends to make continuancy of threads slightly more difficult. Since rping by your lonesome is a bit drab, please help me out! (but if he’s being too difficult and it hampers the rp too much, do let me know and I’ll remedy it!)

Friends : uhm…you’re a hero for trying and I love you? If there are people willing to have their muse be friends I take it most of them will fall in the ‘mutual asset’ category. I’d love if one or a few could become a real friend over time though. He’s actually a pretty cool guy to have on your side. I swear. \0/

That a character is not like him in personality or ability, doesn’t necessarily mean they will go unadmired or unappreciated from his side. He’s just not so open in showing it. He always admired Charlotte for her (past) open and affectionate personality, for instance. Characters that are openly and authentically loving, selfless or guileless may get outward scorn but inward respect/fascination and he may step in to help them out if need be (under the guise of an eyeroll or worse probably) on his own accord.

Family: Lotte, of course. Love to plot and backstory a bit more! (and add to his history, since it’s a bit bland still)
Future Lux. Pls let there be a Lux. Even if only because mun would love to dote on a baby brother.
I also thought it would be fun to have a (distant) cousin maybe? This could be any of the Germanics reallly, or someone else entirely.

Lovers: While he tends to stonewall people emotionally, he doesn’t have that problem physically. Just as long as there are no promises and no strings, and all of this is clear prior.
Past fling: Nesia.

Enemies: Despite being hard to deal with he doesn’t make a sport out of actively making enemies out of people. It’s really inconvenient. Doesn’t mean he might not have made any though…it’s easy to picture him doing or saying something that affronts others (though he’s not into needless provocation)
He’s probably not on great terms with Toni, and sadly not with Charlotte either.

Others:

Note: He’s really good at alchemy and potion making. And securing rare ingredients through unidentified means. Need something that’s difficult to make or obtain and perhaps not entirely condoned by Hogwarts rules? He might be able to help you out, for a price.

Hi, I can plot, but as you said... he and Toni probably don't get along well... I hope they are at least cordial given that they are in the same house XD

I prefer them to be occasionally snarky but not hateful, so cordial, strained or not is certainly possible~!

About QDitch: Keeper or no, Dries does not wear a helmet. Ever. No bad hairdays for him. He has a contract with several clauses that (legally) excempt any and all from responsibility if he gets injured -or dies- from consequences thereof.
But he has no intention for either, so it's not a problem in his book...and it helps focus :'D  (ok I admit I jus thate the image of him with it I completely forgot about helmets)

Depending on how much Toni dislikes him (or is that just Dries-sided? That's fine too) they can do some hard-hitting practice or something.


Oh and since Toni often has so many books and stuff scattered about and Dries can't stand it they may get into fights over that since they share a dorm. (Dries may at some point have banished a few or something or it could be something as part of a thread)

Oh gladly! I don't think Toni would particularly dislike Dries, just because Toni rarely dislikes anyone. (He might get peeved about the books tho)

Also, how well does Andries do with Toni being captain? Toni wouldn't push the Helmet things because "Hey, man... it's your head. " and he's certainly not against some hard-hitting practices. He just won't tolerate insubordination on the field. But yeah I imagine he and Dries probably need to work some stuff out, especially the whole Nesia thing, which has to be pretty awkward. Maybe that's done during one of their practices?

I think we haven't established their current relationship, yes? Are they mere acquaintances, in speaking terms or whatnot. I'd like them to be "acquaintance who occasionally speaking because toni" ha. Btw is he jealous of toni being able to be her close friend even after breaking up? XD

Nesia doesn't think it's awkward if the dudes are friends. She has moved on ffff. But well old feelings may bloom again someday no?

Dries has no prob with Toni being captain as long as he doesn’t order him around too much or is too bossy (so that could possibly be a problem, depending) but they probably agree on most things when it comes to quidditch and how to play it. If his opinion differs too much he’ll do his own thing, that’s just who he is, but he’s not going to be deviant just for the sake of it.

Dries won’t glorify Toni as a captain or call him such (‘Carriedo’ will do) but he won’t publicly undermine him or disrespect him either for no reason.

Like if people asked him if Toni was his captain he’d say. “He’s Durmstrang’s captain.”
“Is he any good?”
“I just told you.”
So he may actually think of him as a good captain. He just wouldn’t state that as a personal opinion.

Nesi is a difficult thing. Because it’s something that isn’t on the foreground so its unlikely they’d speak of it directly, and Andries wouldn't start about it, but it might weave its way in here and there. So yeah let's go with quidditch practice.

I feel the MIA book issue might be a fun one to interject somewhere or perhaps in a seperate/different thread sometime let's just have fun with it.
