ever on and on Today was just not his day.
The blonde man groaned in pain. Rolling his shoulders as he made his way towards the Medical Wing. His muscles ached, and his chest was..slightly less heavy then it had been two days previously. However, the pain that remained was more physical since he had let loose on a few Bludgers he had bewitched to come at him. Having been out of practice, he may have avoided being hit...but the force he used to slam the club was a little too much for his rusty body. Though, he couldn't really dwell on his stupid move at the moment. Thedorich had patients to look after, potions to make and bandages to re-doe. No time to think upon foolish things...such as the fact he felt old just admitting the fact he had actually hurt himself in a sport.
Sighing, he fixed his..slight bed head before walking into the Hospital Wing. The man hadn't bothered to brush his hair, the fitful night of pain mixed with dreams hadn't been great. The sunlight which came through made him wince slightly...But once he heard familiar foot steps approaching, he quickly composed himself before accepting the clip board of patients. His head helper was good at handing him his daily 'list'...or basically all the patients who needing attending. "Michelle, any new students in today?" The woman gave him a once over, slight concern in her eyes, but did not comment. He was grateful for it.."Not really, though you have another frequent." he did not miss the slight quirk of her lips at that. Theo frowned, his mind going through the small list of frequent visitors. He was sure it wasn't Astrit..or Ludwig. Those two weren't up for another dose of potions, and the other few who came in with injuries had already been healed. So who...
His eyes finally lit with recognition. With an amused smile, and shake of his head he glanced over to the brunette woman. "So...what's he in for now?" The woman shrugged. "The usual, did something ridiculous and is now here. I'll let him explain." With that she walked off to go and take care of the students from the Night before. Shaking his head, the blonde man headed towards the row he suspected the other was residing. Not even looking up from his clip board, which had the students injury, he asked. "So...what happened this time?"

| Reach out your hands Don't turn your back Don't walk away How in the world Can I wish for this? Never to be torn apart Close to you 'Til the last beat Of my heart // words: 622 // tags: THEODORICH DURIN HUBER // notes: sorry it took me a year and a day to get this up! // translation: but really, you are so late today...what's going on? | It hadn't been intentional.
At least, that was what Gilbert kept telling himself. It wasn't his fault that Gryffindors were so easy to tease and rile up, and that some of them were just plain idiots. Not that there wasn't a fair share of idiots within his own former House, but Gilbert was disinclined to admit to such things.
It'd only been a little prank that had gone a little South, resulting in what Gilbert believed was a broken arm and a dislocated shoulder, along with a misplaced Sea Urchin jinx around the injured area. It actually did hurt, though Gilbert would never have admitted to that, even as he cradled his left arm and determinedly avoided poking himself with the spikes that had unfortunately covered his forearm.
Gilbert was usually very careful with planning pranks, but since Hogwarts was not nearly as strict as Durmstrang (not even in the ballpark at all), Gilbert had let himself go a little. Antonio had laughed his ass off afterwards—that bastard—but it was all in good fun. Hogwarts felt so much more relaxed than Durmstrang did, and Gilbert felt an odd ache in his chest for the years he could have had wandering these halls.
That was hardly a thought worth dwelling on though. Gilbert had been happy at Durmstrang. He'd made his own name, one separate from his family line. That was certainly something worth being proud of. He might have no idea where he was headed in life, but at least he knew he could hold his own.
Gilbert had already visited the infirmary several times since returning to Hogwarts for a variety of reasons, most of which included Quidditch and admittedly somewhat reckless behavior. At this point, he was quite familiar with Hogwarts' current nurse: a certain Bavarian Theodorich Huber. As a former Quidditch player for the House of Jord, Theodorich was certainly easy on the eyes and Gilbert got along with him fabulously. Sometimes he even swung by the infirmary just to say hello.
The thought of talking in German with someone again cheered Gilbert up as he walked into the Hospital Wing. To his disappointment, Theodorich had not arrived yet, so instead he busied himself with chatting with Michelle, one of the head helpers in the Hospital Wing. She seemed both annoyed and amused at his current predicament, and told him off yet again before huffing and saying she had less hopeless cases than Gilbert to tend to.
Where was Theodorich? He'd forgotten to ask Michelle, having been so caught up in his latest antics again. The man was never late—he could hardly call himself German if he was. Gilbert sighed and leaned back against the wall. It was no fun being in the infirmary if he had no company. He could attempt to heal himself, but he had a strange feeling that Michelle might just strangle him for that.
“So...what happened this time?”
Gilbert jumped, a little surprised to see Theodorich standing next to him, clipboard in his hand. A wide grin spread over his face. “Herr Huber! How lovely to see you again...fine day out, isn't it? Aber wirklich, du bist heute so spät...was ist los?”
At home, Gilbert would likely have been criticized for using the informal tense to address a superior...but he was essentially an adult, and Theodorich really didn't mind after their many conversations in German. Gilbert's eyes traced over the man's barely combed hair...not a bad look on him. Of course, Gilbert could hardly say anything himself. His hair never stayed in place, and for better or worse, Gilbert had largely given up on it. Rather ironic, given that Ludwig, the perfect child, was always impeccable...but that was the way life went, wasn't it? |

The Bavarian was impressed.
Also, slightly amused.
Gilbert was one of those regulars that Theo liked having around, but at the same time was exasperated by the shear stupidity of most of his injuries. On the one hand he was a comfort...and funny, with his sense of humor and the fact the Bavarian could hold full conversations with him in German. It was nice...not having to worry about slipping into his language and then apologizing for it, whilst translating. It got to be a hassle...On the other hand, some of the albino's injuries were both severe and most times Theo wondered how he was still alive. Still, despite all that Theo enjoyed his presence...and he wasn't that bad to look at either. But that was a thought best left alone. Like in the back of his mind...
“Herr Huber! How lovely to see you again...fine day out, isn't it? Aber wirklich, du bist heute so spät...was ist los?”
Wow, is the sleepless night that noticeable. He thought with a chuckle, setting the clipboard down, before heading to the side of the bed which had the others injured area..Mentally he was ticking off the injuries. One broken arm and a dislocated shoulder, along with a misplaced Sea Urchin jinx around the injured area. Well, at least nothing too bad. Gently he he placed his hand on the injured shoulder. "Lovely to see you too, though it's a shame today isn't more of a social call...seriously, how did you get a jinx to backfire on the broken arm.?"
He ran a hand over the injured arm, a feeling of warmth would spread to the bone. Mending it properly, these injuries were easy to heal...making the use of grabbing a wand pointless. Also, he had been mending things like this for years so he didn't need to grab the 'Bone-mending' potion. Also, he was...kind of dodging answering the others second question.. It was embarrassing admitting why he acted like an idiot...or lost sleep due to the fact he decided to go a few rounds of Quiditch himself. How was he supposed to say 'I found out the man I had pined for, and thought liked me back is getting married?' It was foolish...
With a shrug, he answered with a 'half-truth'. "..Nur eine schlaflose Nacht, und gestern war schlecht. Nichts, über das man sich sorgen sollte." It wasn't a total lie. Yesterday was bad for him...and he had lost sleep.
Feeling that the bone was mended properly, he waved his hand again to rid the albino of the Jinx. Which would relieve some of the pressure off him..though there was really only one cure for the dislocated shoulder. With a sympathetic look he patted the others good shoulder. "..Well..uhh I hate to break it to you, but there is only one cure for the dislocated shoulder...and it will hurt."
