Beauxbatons and Durmstrang have arrived!
"They come by air and sea, Beauxbatons in a glorious flying carriage pulled by winged horses, and Durmstrang in a fabulous ship that sails beneath the waves. With the arrival of these two schools the Triwizard Tournament’s first event is just around the corner, but first we must get our visitors settled and introduce them. Very soon we will allow students of the appropriate age to contribute their name to the Goblet of Fire in the hopes of participating. Glory and fame surely await those who compete!
The Houses of Hogwarts will be organized into their respective groups, but these smaller handfuls of students will, for the sake of this introduction, be sitting alongside Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang respectively. It is hoped by all staff that these visitors will be treated with the respect they deserve, for even though they are rivals and vie for the titles with just as much ferocity, they are nonetheless our guests and it is our duty to carry ourselves with dignity to convince the world of the majesty of Hogwarts.
As the feasts get underway, the visitors will be allowed to mingle and become accustomed to the other schools and their houses. This will be one of the only times all the Houses will be permitted to wander away from their own tables, if only because this this a rather special occasion. Try not to let uour rivalries cloud your judgment, and allow these visitors to see the very best that Hogwarts has to offer. They'll be staying here for a long time."

This post opens the board officially to all players, no matter the school. Hogwarts is open for all roleplay. Keep in mind that this is still prior to the second event - the adding of names to the Goblet - and all roleplays must fall within that timeline. Past roleplays are still allowed, though. Feel free to continue and/or start roleplays set in the past setting. Any roleplays in which students would like to meet will take place in this forum, tagged with [Great Hall Event]. Roleplaying meetings is, however, not required, but it is encouraged.
