[attr="class","profileboxscroll"]Hero complex - Probably one of the FIRST things you'll note about Alfred is his glaring hero complex. If he sees someone in trouble or in need of help, he'll jump in immediately. The inherent problem with this is the fact that he fails to understand when people actually want him there and when he's simply poking his nose where it doesn't belong. He just knows that whenever there's a problem, he wants to help, and he doesn't understand why anyone wouldn't want his help. His intentions are good, but his actions don't always convey this. He has an obsession with superheroes and comic books, as well as a wild imagination, which probably doesn't help matters.
Materialistic - Alfred loves things. He loves to follow all of the latest trends, but doesn't mind getting caught up in a bit of nostalgia too at times (he has a lot more Disney stuff left over from his childhood than he'd be willing to admit to just anyone). He's amassed various collections over the years. His most prized would be his Muggle comic book collection.
Impulsive - Acting without thinking? Well that describes Alfred pretty well, doesn't it? It's not that he doesn't think, it's just that the thinking tends to come after the acting. Alfred is very excitable when he gets an idea in his head, which usually results in a 'do now, think later' sort of attitude. Which is great when it actually works out, but often times causes more harm than it does good. It's one thing when you jump into making a big purchase, but another when you jump into something more serious without thinking first.
Bossy - Alfred likes to be in the driver's seat whenever anything is going on. Unfortunately, as with many other things, he often doesn't take others' opinions into consideration.
Optimistic - One of Alfred's better qualities is his ability to look at the glass half full. If everyone is feeling down and out, he'll probably be the last person left cheering for what little hope is left. It's not always a realistic attitude, mind, but at least he's not liable to give up easily. Even he has his limits, though, and the flip-side of this is that, if he DOES happen to shift to a pessimistic viewpoint on something, it's difficult as hell to get him out of his funk.
Insecure - He's a lot more insecure than he likes to let on. Much of his boasting and arrogance is actually bravado. He's a young kid who is about to go into the world soon, and though he finds it exciting, it is a bit nervewracking at times. Al's superhero obsession has led him to the phrase 'with great power comes great responsibility', but he's terrified of responsibility. More so, he's terrified of being given that responsibility only to let someone down. He hasn't screwed up badly yet, but that doesn't mean the worry isn't ever present in his mind.
Childish - Alfred often times acts like an overgrown child. Part of this is because he is still fairly young, but it's also a result of not wanting to act serious when he doesn't have to. He already has a lot under his belt trying to make sure he gets good enough grades to go after the job he wants, why add more stress to that? When he's not doing that he just wants to relax and take it easy - And he tends to do that in ways that some might consider to be immature.
Determined- No one can accuse Alfred of not having determination. When he's determined to do something, he'll do everything in his power to make sure he succeeds at his goal. Doesn't mean that he always will, but he will try. This is especially true when you tell him that he can't do something. He'll fight that much harder to prove you wrong.
Loud - If you're in a room with Al, chances are, you'll know he's there. He has some very attention-whorish tendencies, and loves it when the attention is focused on him. As expected, many people see him as obnoxious and bigmouthed as a result (not that they're entirely wrong).
Easily distracted - While he's a force to be reckoned with when he's serious about something, in every day life Alfred is easily distracted, especially if the subject matter is something he's not particularly interested in. In other words? He could carry on a conversation all day and night about space and aliens, or even about certain classes that interest him. If you want to go on about something that doesn't? You'll probably lose him within minutes, if not seconds.

history
[attr="class","profileboxscroll"]Born on the 4th of July as one of two children to the Jones family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the U.S. Alfred's temperament was discernible almost as soon as he left the womb. He was a loud baby, though one who clearly knew how to communicate what he wanted. His mother managed to figure out his cries within the first couple of weeks. He was also on the move even from this young age, often squirming in his parents' arms as if he wanted to climb right out of them and explore. Once Alfred learned to walk, he did just that. He was also into just about everything he could get into. His parents were ever grateful for the extra effort they'd put into childproofing the house. Once he learned to talk in full sentences, he was constantly bombarding his parents with questions. Even though Alfred was turning out to be quite a handful, it was clear that he was at the very least a precocious little boy, and one that had big dreams.
Alfred had a good childhood. His family was neither rich nor poor. His father was American born, while his mother hailed from across the pond in England. He had one younger sibling, thus ensuring that the exuberant and outgoing little boy was rarely alone. Another interest Alfred held from a young age was in superheroes, and heroes in general. Having superpowers and being able to save the day? Well, that would be the bomb!
Though he didn't have 'superpowers', it became clear when he was six years old that he did have some sort of ability. Upset about having to leave the playplace at McDonalds at his sixth birthday party, his father discovered when he went to leave with young Al that he could not open the door. No matter how hard he tried, the door would not budge. It took his mother to get the door open - and his father missed the knowing look that Martha Jones shot her son as they finally left the restaurant.
This wasn't the only incident, of course. An attempt to fly off the roof with a 'cape' attached to his back (really a towel) resulted not in the broken bones that one might except from a little boy trying to pull off such a daring and dangerous stunt. Instead, Alfred floated gently downward, literally hovering in the air as he descended slowly toward the ground. This episode his father did see. As parents talk, Martha inevitably found out what her husband witnessed, and realized that she had to tell George the truth about what she was.
As it turned out, Martha came from a pureblood wizarding family in England - a family with whom she disagreed with their values. She moved to America shortly after leaving Hogwarts to get away from their nagging influence. George was understandably beside himself, and confused as to why Martha hid such important information from him for so long, to which she replied that she was afraid that he would leave her if he found out the truth. Fortunately, the family was able to move past this, and by the time Alfred's little sibling started to show signs of magic as well a year later, they were well equipped for it.
The family moved to England when Alfred was ten. Martha wanted her children to go to her alma mater, not trusting Ilvermorny to give them the education that she knew Hogwarts would provide. She also wanted her siblings to see her homeland.
Alfred started Hogwarts two months after his eleventh birthday. It took a while for the sorting hat to decide which house to place Alfred into. The hat saw qualities of Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin within the young wizard, but the excited young wizard had done his research. His loyalty to those that he about were a good fit for Hufflepuff, but little Alfred did not want Hufflepuff. Slytherin had a reputation for dark wizards, though the hat protested that Alfred had high ambitions and that Slytherin would help him to attain those. That left Gryffindor, a house that both Alfred and the hat could agree upon. He was thrilled, knowing from his mother's talks that Gryffindor was known for courage, chivalry, and determination - all qualities of the superheroes that Alfred so admired! Though the hat would argue that Alfred's headstrong stubbornness every time it tried to suggest a different house actually secured the boy for Gryffindor more than anything else
It took a bit of time for Alfred to adjust to the way things were in both the United Kingdom and Hogwarts. He attended a Muggle elementary school in the U.S. through fourth grade, and was homeschooled for the year leading up to Hogwarts. He felt like a fish out of water, but he did his best to adjust in his own way. Rather than sink further into himself the way that others might, he made sure that no one at Hogwarts forgot his name - or how loud he could be when he wanted to be.
As he went along in Hogwarts, he discovered certain subjects that he liked and others that he did not care for as much. Astronomy and Flying were by far his two favorite subjects, though he also enjoyed Charms and Transfiguration. Muggle Studies was plain amusing (having grown up with a Muggle father, Alfred was well aware of the happenings of the Muggle world and how wrong some wizards got it). He struggled with Potions and History of Magic, and was happy to ditch both classes after he scored abysmally on his OWLs in the two subjects.
Alfred is still trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life after Hogwarts. He has it narrowed down to a few options - Astronomy, Quidditch, or some sort of Magical Law Enforcement (though he can't exactly pursue a career as an auror now that he's dropped potions..oops). He's starting to feel the pressure as the deadline to the end of his time at Hogwarts looms closer. He's already had to narrow down his classes to his NEWT classes, after all. What should he do next?

Alfred called up as many nations as he could to attend an emergency meeting. He wasn't sure how many would turn up. He felt as though certain nations would avoid a meeting that he called on principle. Given recent events he couldn't say that he entirely blamed them, though he could also say that he didn't particularly care at this point in time. He didn't know who was responsible for what happened to his sister, but if it turned out to be another nation they would soon discover what a terrible mistake they'd made in doing so. Al's primary focus for the time being was finding Maddie and returning her safely. If that meant discovering who was to blame, he'd get to the bottom of it. If it meant finding Maddie first and then finding out who was to blame, he'd go that route. The most important thing was to get Maddie back. What happened before or after that didn't matter so long as he got Maddie back.
"We have received word that Maddie is missing. If anyone has any info that might help, they should speak up now. If anyone has any ideas on how to find her, we could use those as well. This was the last place she was spotted." It was good that he could speak clearly for the most part once more as he addressed the others in the room, then gestured to a map of the world he'd posted up with the location where Maddie was last spotted in Romania circled.
Andrei was the last to contact Maddie, and the first to contact Alfred upon realizing that Maddie had yet to contact him back. Andrei was not entirely absolved as a suspect as far as Alfred was concerned, though he did consider it rather unlikely that Andrei would have kidnapped his sister. Why would he have contacted Alfred so soon if he'd indeed kidnapped Maddie? There was a possibility that it was a false flag on Andrei's part, but it seemed unlikely. A more likely suspect was one whom Andrei suggested in one of the voicemails he'd left for Alfred. No, Alfred would not put it past Ivan to do something like this.
He couldn't just assume that Ivan had Maddie though. There was a good chance that he didn't as well, and that whoever did have Maddie wanted him to think that it was Ivan. Going after the wrong suspect might mean wasting precious time during which he could rescue his sister from her captors. He'd have to remember his missing sister's advice - It didn't pay to be impulsive in cases like this. He needed to make sure that he did things right.
It would prove to be excessively hard for Alfred to do so when his sister's safety was on the line. He could and likely would do everything that he could to find Maddie, and if he had some sort of lead he would more likely than not jump on it. The problem now was that he didn't have much of a lead to go on. He only had what Andrei told him, hence why he'd called this meeting to try to gather as much information as he could.
