[attr="class","profileboxscroll"]High-strung and feisty, Ríonah is hot-blooded and rash at the best of times, going off half-cocked and without thought at the worst. She loves her family, but she also loves her liquor, Irish whiskey in particular, and when she drinks (as with all the Kirkland siblings) she can get very violent. Ríonah is extremely motherly, despite her rash and quick temper, always first to consol and comfort. With her emotions, she hides them behind a grin, but if one can get under her skin – as few save her brothers can manage – she can be depressing and spiteful, if in the correct mood for it.

When her mental cracks begin to shine through to the surface, from so many years of pretending to be something/someone she isn’t, she will smoke and drink to keep the pain at bay. When her other vices don’t suffice, she turns to much less legal methods, along with self-harm. Hence the reason why she tries to always be at least a bit tipsy: a drunk Ríonah is a more-or-less happy Ríonah, and much less inclined to taking drastic measures to deal with the still-unhealed fractures within her mentality. That is, more of less, the bottom line of her personality.

[attr="class","profileboxscroll"] In all truth, Ríonah’s first real memory is of playing with her brother, Iain. They weren’t twins but they might as well have been, given how close they were. She remembered standing beside Iain, only a short time after that, and watching their mother leave. Not even years later, has Ríonah ever actually understood why their mother left. Oh, yes, she was given reasons, such as their father’s philandering, but that never told her why. As for the rest of her childhood, well, it was quiet enough. Ríonah spent most of her time with Iain, and reading whatever she could get her hands on when she was alone. But, when they were ten things changed. Their father married again, and the word nasty didn’t even begin to cover the woman that walked into their lives. With that in mind, it was no wonder Ríonah made a point to never be around (unless she was with Iain) for the next year until they started Hogwarts. Of course, that was when the trouble started. The fight that ensued within Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions would forever go down in the history of the long collective memory of the Pureblood High Society. Ríonah refused to wear the girls’ uniform, while her stepmother wasn’t having any of that, which was when the shouting started.
