Gilbert likes people. All the people. Well, not quite. Most of the people.

At any rate, Gilbert is extremely friendly. He has no qualms about approaching people, and is generally tolerant of most people. Most of all he enjoys other people's company. He has always done best when he's had people to socialize with, and he is more than happy to initiate any conversation. As long as you're willing to put up with his antics (which include breaking rules, pulling pranks, and showy Quidditch tricks), Gil will be glad to call you his friend.

HATESHIPS

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of people who dislike Gilbert. He can come off a little too strong at times, and he has had many, many short-term relationships...not all of which ended well. Haters gonna hate though. Gilbert has survived this long, and he has fairly few regrets.

For those that Gilbert hates, he tends to resort to pulling childish pranks on them. Then again, sometimes he does this just for fun and not out of hatred...

For the select few that Gilbert holds a burning hatred for, usually reserved for those who have harmed his loved ones, Gilbert will stop at nothing to destroy them. He was a Slytherin after all, and as a Beilschmidt, he has to live up to the name.

LOVESHIPS

Love is an idea that Gilbert scoffs at. He intends to be a bachelor for life. Settling down? Sounds like a pain. Gilbert would much rather flirt around and have his share of flings. Who meets the love of their life at the age of 18? Certainly not Gil. Besides, it's not like just anyone can keep up with him.

Still, Gilbert is immensely jealous of the connection that people seem to have with their significant others. Of course, he would never tell anyone this. Even when he's talking about the relationships of his best friends, Gilbert makes an effort to not sound too cheesy or invested. It's a very specific image that Gilbert's developed for himself, and he can't let all those years of hard work go to waste.

Kat: Eyyyy! Can't wait for Toni and Gil to mess with things in Hogwarts. Not sure how exactly...any ideas? As for Feli, Gil would love to catch back up with his favorite Italian.

Lena: Yesssss bro times! Gil will be happy to see his bro again (even though it probably hasn't been that long since they were both at home). They can chill in the common room or Luds can catch Gil up on whatever's new at Hogwarts or whatever else comes to mind.

Heeeey, it might be interesting to toss Matthew into the mix. I think he and Gil have a loose but friendly relationship in Hetalia canon, so it could be fun to play something out on here. o/

They could meet absolutely any way! Once Gil reaches Hogwarts, Matthew will be moving around a lot, you can find him anywhere on the grounds on any given day. If Gil wanted an easy way to meet him, he often hangs out tutoring people in the library like a nerd. And he's very interested in Durmstrang, too, since he knows they teach the Dark Arts with less reservations than anyone else. If anything, Matthew would notice Gil right away on the first day he arrived and approach him sometime after.

Because Dark Arts. Hell yeah. And also potential friend-making on the side.

And yess... Feli and Gil we need some cuteness. Feli would probably the first to welcome Gil as he got off the boat.

But I'd love to have them meet in the library sometime! It sounds simple to do, so I could whip up a quick starter for Mattie and Gil if you'd like! Matthew will be very happy to be chatted up by a Durmstrang student. He's fascinated by the other schools in general, he'll love this.

Also. Now that I have Minh Quân, I'm interested in throwing him at Hạnh Phúc. He's pretty cheery and wants to be friends with everyone. It will sadden him greatly if the one other person who shares his culture in the whole school doesn't at least chat with him </3 Please do not make Minh sad, he will deflate and look positively miserable.
