It is really unsure where to pinpoint the beginning of the Kendrick clan. All that is known is, they began from Helga Hufflepuff. One of her children having married a Druid, one of those who practiced in worshiping the gods..well the ones they had thought up at the time. It wasn't an uncommon practice, a way of blending in with society and keeping themselves safe from prying eyes. Despite the mixed marriages, and bloodlines the Kendrick's are still considered a pureblood family today that has grown to adapt to, and accept, more liberal ideals within the magical community. Fast forward to the founding woman of the Kendrick's...Helga Hufflepuff. The woman with a hearty smile, kind heart and hard working attitude. She was one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, head of Hufflepuff House as well as a powerful witch in her own right. Helga is the ancestor of a few Wizarding families. The Kendrick's being one of the lesser known ones, and they took on the aspects of caring for wild, and misunderstood creatures. Which was a trait of Helga, her caring nature for those people looked over. They became specialists of healing the magical creatures, and purveyors of hard work...Some became great duelists, while others decided to live a more peaceful life doing simple things. Alwyn's mother is a very successful healer and care taker of magical creatures, while her siblings are in the Ministry. Alwyn, while not important to the Kirkland's, is the head of the Kendrick Clan. His mother being the eldest of three and her only child. While not pushy, his grandparents expect him to marry well and preserve the family name. His younger cousins, adults and abroad, have no interest in being head of the Clan. Which leaves him in a predicament, so he takes this time at Hogwarts as living some freedom..before having to try and settle down. ⋆
